The Hit the Hay Trail Run course had excellent reviews for its inaugural year and also some suggestions for improvement. We at the Hay Creek Watershed Association took the runner seriously and have enhanced certain aspects of the race to reflect these suggestions. In the forests that Daniel Boone himself trod as a strapping young lad, the trail run has some double and triple track trails, 4-5 water crossings, two beautiful reservoirs, an abandoned quarry, washed out roads, two short technical down hills, an old railroad bed, decaying canal locks, a sustained climb, three water stops, a luxurious downhill, and a murderous climb. Mapped out by Pretzel City Sports and Ron Horn. Add in a start and finish in a pretty park that is rug-rat friendly, improved overall and age group winner awards, and more day of registration T-shirts.
AMENITIES: T-shirt to all Trail Run preregistrants and day of race registrants until they are gone; refreshments and snacks for finishers; toilet facilities; good parking; time clock at finish; race results available online; race held rain or shine.

The Garden of Reflection 9-11 Memorial was created to remember and honor all 2,973 killed on September 11, 2001--incuding the 18 innocent souls from Bucks County. It is situated in Memorial Park amid the natural beauty of historic Bucks County farmland in Lower Makefield Township. It is the Official Pennsylvania Memorial to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The 5k Run/Walk, now in it’s 6th year, raises money for the ongoing maintenance of the memorial. Thanks to our generous sponsors and participants, this race has raised over $55,000 toward this effort.

A DELCO RRC CROSS COUNTRY EVENT benefiting Divine Providence Village. BUDDY UP: Join our training runs in September and tackle this great cross country course with assurance. The WDF celebrates the determination, dedication
and grit of women runners, and this year we're doing it again cross country style. Run on a softer, grassy surface that's kinder on the joints than pavement. Enjoy the challenge of the rolling hills and a single creek crossing. It's all part of the Delco RRC Doubleheader, "A Day of Champions." (Any guy who is man enough to run a women's race is welcome, but only women win awards.)
Cecily Tynan will be running the 30th annual WDF with us—cross country style in Rose Tree Park!
Ms. Tynan is the Action News weeknight meteorologist at WPVI-TV/6ABC.
She also is a four-time sub-3 hour marathoner, former world-class professional duathlete and
a top ten age group finisher at the 2003 Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. She has recently scaled back her competitions to local charity races to raise money for worthy charities in the Delaware Valley. After the WDF, stay and watch high-school athletes compete in the 46th Annual
Delaware County Cross Country Championships--on the same 5k course.
Sponsorship opportunities available, and among our 2009 sponsors are Nolan Painting, Inc., Optimum Physical Therapy Associates, Brazill Insurance & Investments, The Running Place, Dr. Lee S. Cohen, The Center Foundation, and Women's Yellow Pages.Check out the new WDF Web site.
