2nd Annual Delco 5K Run/Walk for Autism Speaks This is our second year for this event. My husband and I have a son, Dean who has autistic spectrum disorder. Dean is an amazing boy with so much enthusiasm and a great sense of humor. He works so hard for the things he accomplishes. He truly inspires us! We both enjoy running and wanted to find a way to raise funds for Autism Speaks. Run on a shaded path in a beautiful park. Music provided by 102.9WMGK Classic Rock Station. Prizes for runners - overall top male and female and top two in each age category. Kiddie Run - prizes for everyone!!

River City 5K Run The River City Festival will kick off with the River City Run at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 13th. This professionally-timed 3.1 mile race will weave through the streets of Fishtown, beginning and ending at Penn Treaty Park.
Regitration fees are $15 for kids (12 and under), $20 for adults (13 and over), and $100 for teams of up to six people.
The first 100 registrants will receive a free race t-shirt. |

David J Good Memorial Run EVENING RUN!!!
On March 9, 1998 emergency workers from Lionville Fire Company and Uwchlan Ambulance Corps were responding to an accident just west of the Downingtown exit of the PA Turnpike. Dave Good was killed and 10 others were injured when a tractor trailer lost control and crashed into the rescue scene.
David J. Good made the ultimate sacrifice as a volunteer and for that reason, this race is dedicated in his name. An employee of Uwchlan Township for eight years, he was a volunteer in the Lionville Fire Company for five years when he was killed in the line of duty. David is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, and two sons, Jonathan and Jason.
Also, honoring other Lionville firefighters killed in the line of duty: Charles H Martin Jr & Jonathan S Windle Jr.

Women's Distance Festival 5K Run/Walk A DELCO RRC EVENT: The WDF celebrates the determination, dedication and grit of women runners, and this year we're doing it again cross country style. Run on a softer, grassy surface that's kinder on the joints than pavement. Enjoy the challenge of the rolling hills and a single creek crossing. It's all part of the Delco RRC Doubleheader, "A Day of Champions." (Any guy who is man enough to run a women's race is welcome, but only women win awards.) After the WDF, stay and watch high-school athletes compete in the 45th Annual Delaware County Cross Country Championships--on the same 5k course. Training runs will be held every Thursday night in September (until we run out of daylight) at 6:30pm on the Rose Tree Park course. Nun Run 2008-Make it a Habit The Nun Run 5K Race and Walk is a flat, fast, out and back course, with a start and finish at the Jeanne Jugan Residence at 185 Salem Church Road in Newark, Delaware (across from Christiana High School). T-shirts to all participants, refreshments available, trophies and medals to overall and age group winners. All proceeds used to help the Little Sisters of the Poor provide for the elderly of low income at Jeanne Jugan Residence. |

Delaware County Run for Heroes 5K Run/Walk The 8th Annual Run for Heroes is a 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Delaware County Hero Scholarship Fund (for children of Police, Firefighters and Emergency Responders who have died in the line of duty). Participating is a great time and benefits a great cause. The race is held on a fast, fun course through part of Springfield Township. All entrants receive a T-shirt.

We are a non-profit animal rescue that finds loving homes for the homeless dogs, cats and rabbits of Delaware County. Sweat For Hope 5k Run/Walk A 5k run/walk to benefit the vision and programs of Profugo (www.profugo.org). We are a non-profit organization dedicated to micro-economic development in under-developed and developing communities worldwide.
Prizes will be awarded to top overall male & female finishers in the 5K race, and male & female runners finishing 1st, 2nd & 3rd in 6 different age groups. Prizes will be given out to all participants 60 and over.

Laurel House 5k DASH Against Domestic Violence Proceeds from this year’s 5K will benefit Laurel House’s Nehemiah's’ Way program and the DART II program both of which operate out of Laurel House’s North Wales office. Nehemiah’s Way provides transitional housing for survivors of domestic violence, and the DART II program provides immediate crisis intervention for law enforcement officers responding to domestic violence calls.

Annunciation BVM Turkey Trot Come run or walk with us for the 2nd Annual Annunciation BVM 5K run and Family Fun Walk! On the Family Fun Walk (1.2 miles) you will travel through the streets of Havertown, while the longer 5K run will take you along the scenic Karakung Drive. We will also have special appearances from both the “Jogging Turkey” and Santa Claus. Proceeds for this event will be used to fund upgrades in technology and other related tools for both the students at Annunciation School and the parish PREP classes.
